These paintings are from a recent exhibit titled "Atmospheric Conditions". Our home is located a good distance away from the surrounding towns and the weather is usually the most dramatic daily event. This positioning suits me fine. I study the sky often and venture out most every day to paint. Fortunately, I have a sense of place and I never need to venture very far from my studio to find a spot that speaks well for the day.

In order to preserve a particular mood, I’ll write a descriptive paragraph or two. I’ve included a few of these along with the larger view of the paintings.
